Due to the forecasted wind/rain, Balloonville has been canceled. The decision to cancel was made in consideration of safety for the hot air balloon pilots and patrons.
Stop by Balloonville to check out different hot air balloons on site at Pork in the Park. Take a tethered balloon ride or sign up for a passenger flight. All Balloonville events are weather-permitting.
Balloonville Schedule
Saturday
- 12-5 p.m.: Tethered Balloon Rides*, Balloons on Display for Demo/Talk to the Pilot/Photo Ops
- 6 p.m.: Balloon Launch & Flight*
- 8 p.m.: Balloon Glow*
Sunday
- 6:15 a.m.: Balloon Launch & Flight*
- 12-5 p.m.: Tethered Balloon Rides*, Balloons on Display for Demo/Talk to the Pilot/Photo Ops
Tethered Balloon Rides
$20 for Adults, $10 for Kids Under 12
A hot air balloon, tethered to the ground, will offer rides up to 60 feet in the air. No advanced booking is required.
Balloon Glow
What is a Balloon Glow? The Balloon Glow was invented in Albuquerque in 1979, when local pilots inflated balloons on Christmas Eve as a thank you to local residents. The sight of balloons lit from within at night was breathtaking and Glow events are now held all over the world.
Passenger Flights
$235 Per Person
Passenger flights lasting 30-45 minutes will be booked in advance and at the festival. Reserve your spot to take a hot air balloon ride across
the scenic Eastern Shore for $35 here. The remaining $200 in cash is due to the pilot on site before your launch. The reservation fee is nonrefundable unless
the flight is canceled by event staff or pilots. You can also fill out this flight reservation form and pay the $35 reservation fee at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office, 500 Glen Ave.,
Salisbury, MD 21804. Box Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Space is limited.
