3:00 – 3:45p.m. (Main Festival Stage)
Professional eaters from around the world will go head to head during this wing eating competition sanctioned by the Major League Eating Federation. Current World Champion Eater Joey Chestnut will return to defend his title against other top-ranked eaters. Check out the full line-up below!
Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, #1, San Jose, CA (@joeyjaws)
Chestnut entered the competitive eating scene in 2005 and has been dominating competitions ever since. Having won five straight Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Championships (and counting), Chestnut is favored every time he steps to the table. Last year, Chestnut took home first place in the Eastern Shore Wing War's Professional Wing Eating Competition after eating 208 wings in 12 minutes.
Tim "Eater X" Janus, #3, New York City, NY (@eaterx)
This 2004 Rookie of the Year has distinguished himself in the eating community, performing well in pie, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, cannoli, brats, and corned beef and cabbage. Janus took home third place at last year's Eastern Shore Wing War, eating 152 wings in 12 minutes.
Miki Sudo, #4, Las Vegas, NV (@OMGitsMIKI)
Since her Major League Eating debut in April 2013, Sudo has been blowing both minds and a fresh wind into the MLE top ten with relentless, patient, metronomic skill that belies her relative inexperience at the competitors' table. This year will be Sudo's first appearance at the Eastern Shore Wing War.
Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, #5, Alexandria, VA
After being named the 2003 Rookie of the Year, Thomas quickly ascended to the top of the ranks, both at the table and in the eyes of fans. She captured her most coveted title after eating 40 Nathan's hot dogs and buns in July 2011, capturing the first ever Nathan's Famous Female Hot Dog Eating Championship Belt. At last year's Eastern Shore Wing War, Thomas took home second place after eating 159 wings in 12 minutes.
