The 2nd Annual Pork in the Park Cornhole Tournament will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012. No day of registration will be held; participants must register online or have their printed registration received by April 18, 2012. Mandatory check in is from 11am-12:30pm and cornhole practice will also be available during that designated time.

Each registered team member will receive a 16 oz commemorative cornhole tournament cup. Beer will be sold to those 21 and older. The 16 oz cup will be filled for same price as 12 oz that is being sold throughout festival. 1st-3rd place will receive cash prizes listed below. All disputes will be settled by tournament officials and there will be no exceptions, all of the official’s decisions are final. Pork in the Park’s main objective is to provide a competitive yet friendly atmosphere for contestants and spectators for the Second Annual Pork in the Park Cornhole Tournament. It is expected from all competitors and spectators to show sportsmanship; people who refuse to honor this request will be asked politely to leave.

Tournament Format – This is a 2 person team only event with a three game guarantee. Tournament format consists of 2 games of pool play and single elimination thereafter. During pool play there will be a time constraint on games, you may not start an inning after 15 minutes of play. ACA rules will be used for all play and for scoring. If a team provides ACA ID #, scores will be reported to ACA.

  • Mandatory Check In: 11am - 12pm
  • Competition begins: 1pm games will be played until a winner is declared
  • Awards: 1st Place - $300 2nd Place - $150 3rd Place - $75
  • Cost: Registration is $30 per team

A confirmation email will be sent to the applicant when the following have been received: your completed application with signed waiver from both players and payment. KCBS Sanctioned BBQ Competition

Kansas City Barbeque Society

Competing BBQ teams spend the weekend slicing, seasoning and sizzling pork, chicken and beef in hopes that their cooking will earn them a portion of the cash prizes and invaluable bragging rights on the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) BBQ Circuit. The barbeque competition decisions lie in the hands of the KCBS certified professional judges. BBQ competition judging is done in many categories including whole hog, beef, chicken, pork, ribs, anything butt and a dessert category.
