Pork in the Park National BBQ Cookoff and BBQ Festival in Salisbury, Maryland
Follow your nose to the Pork in the Park BBQ Festival. This Eastern Shore staple is served up every spring in Salisbury, Maryland's WinterPlace Park. The festival offers three days of entertainment the whole family can enjoy – all for only $7 daily admission and children under 12 are free! Attendees can enjoy a weekend packed with live music and entertainment, rides and games for the kids, unique craft vendors, delicious food and cold beverages.

The festival is open from 4pm to 10pm on Friday, 10am to 10pm on Saturday and 12pm to 5pm on Sunday. The Pork in the Park BBQ Festival is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society and presented by Wicomico County Recreation, Parks and Tourism.
To kick things off on Friday evening, a new You Be The Judge Experience will be introduced, offering the public a chance to help decide the KCBS wings and sweets competition.
Saturday begins with a splash of color as Run or Dye gets underway at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium
True BBQ fans can take advantage of the new VIP Experience and enjoy access to the VIP Tent which includes samples of KCBS competitor’s submissions in chicken, ribs, brisket and pork along with a whole hog cooking demo by Jerry Elliott, samples of local craft beer, a souvenir beer tasting glass, gift bag and premier restroom facility.
The Eastern Shore Wing War returns to Pork in the Park on Sunday. This wing-centric day will feature the People’s Choice Wing Competition, Amateur Wing Eating Competition and Major League Eating sanctioned Professional Wing Eating Competition.
Whether you know it as cornhole, bag toss or one of its many other names, cornhole and BBQ are a perfect pair in the backyard.
Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), the world's largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts, has once again selected Pork in the Park as a host to one of its 300+ sanctioned BBQ cook-off competitions. Competing BBQ teams spend the weekend slicing, seasoning and sizzling pork, chicken and beef in hopes of earning a portion of the over $16,000 in cash prizes and invaluable bragging rights on the Kansas City Barbeque Society circuit. The competition decisions lie in the hands of the KCBS certified professional judges.
